Cultivate Foundations
Our 4-part Foundations workshop delves into well-being and stress-reduction techniques specifically designed for busy professionals. We discuss the science behind why these exercises work, and practice together. This is a practical, evidence-based curriculum with concrete take-aways.
Cultivate Resilience
This workshop presents strategies for cultivating resilience and personal connection, based on sound scientific principles. Human beings generally have amazing capacity to adapt to adversity and thrive in the aftermath. Participants should expect to walk away with practical tools for fostering resilience.
Cultivate High-Quality Connection
Personal connections are among the most important predictors of professional and personal well-being whereas incivility is most likely to deplete well-being and job satisfaction. In this workshop, we engage with the science of communication and building high-quality personal and professional connections.
This workshop is also available specifically within the context of cultivating high-quality connections in a virtual environment.
Cultivate Job Satisfaction
This workshop allows participants to take control of their job satisfaction using strengths analysis and the Job Crafting Exercise and other evidence-based strategies for improved satisfaction and performance.
Empowering Engagement & Belonging
This workshop encourages participants to build a cooperative team, using evidence-based strategies. In this workshop we will review the research into what makes lawyers and non-lawyers satisfied with their jobs and introduce evidence-based skills for stress management as well as developing meaning, autonomy, mastery, and relatedness at work.
Finding Calm & Control in a Crazy World
In this workshop, we will learn how to change the way we think about stress. We will also learn and practice short-term evidence-based strategies to harness your body’s in-the-moment stress response — allowing it to work for you instead of against you. We will also introduce long-term strategies, such as mindset and rational optimism, to train our brains to think better in response to stress over time. Finally, we will work with some real-life scenarios to put these strategies into practice.
Strengths-Based Positive Professional Development
n this session, we will explore each participant’s strengths using the VIA character strengths assessment. Using the Aware-Explore-Apply model, we will practice using signature strengths to set the stage for long-term career success by working with your strengths to build professional relationships and work habits.
Introduction to Growth Mindset
In this session, we will introduce the concept of a “growth mindset,” which thrives on challenges and sees setbacks as an opportunity for growth and for expanding existing abilities. We will introduce practical strategies for receiving feedback and pursuing development opportunities for professional growth right from the start of your career.
Dealing with a Difficult Colleague: Constructive Strategies for Challenging Circumstances
Even in the best workplaces, difficult colleagues do exist. In this short program, we will discuss and practice strategies for dealing with someone at the office who is making you feel drained, stressed, or unmotivated. You may not be able to control your colleague, but you can control how you react!
Sleep is Your Well-being Superpower
Sleep is the superpower of well-being. A solid rest can transform your world by improving mood, memory, concentration, and overall health. While our busy, and sometimes stressful, lives can limit our ability to harness the power of sleep, there are some simple and helpful strategies that can help us get to sleep and stay asleep.
